On Saturday I decided to travel to
Potsdam which is a city right next to
Berlin. It’s so close so that one could think that it’s a suburb of
Berlin, but it’s not. I was traveling together with two other persons from the language group: Brazilian Martha and French Marie.
I didn’t find the Potsdam city itself too fascinating. There was interesting Dutch Quarter, another Branderburger Tor:) (smaller one than the one in Berlin) and some other beautiful buildings. More interesting I found the park (Sancoussi Park) which was right next to the Potsdam city central. In Sancoussi Park there was four palaces/castles and other interesting buildings. I think that the most beautiful building was the Neues Palais (New Palace) which was a summer residence of the royal family. It was just absolutely amazing, so decorated...
Potsdam is definitely a city worth of visiting. But I would next time go earlier in the morning so there would have been enough time to all. We started our sightseeing around 1.30 pm. So we didn’t had too much time.
