Thougths after ScaLDS
I just, few hours ago, arrived back home after ScaLDS (Scandinavian leadership development seminar of AIESEC). There was some 120 delegates, almost 20 facilitators, 10 organizing committee members, a chair of the confence and some external speakers. Altogether there was some 150 people.
Wow, have to say that it was quite an intensive experience! I have earlier attended quite a few AIESEC conferences, but mostly as a delegate. This time I was there as a facilitator being responsible to deliver a couple of sessions. It was really cool to see how the process of planning and delivering such a conference took place.
My key learnings from a week came from facilitating conversations and speaking publicly in front of 120 people. I really had to push myself out of my comfort zone. But that's what the learning is all about. When you go somewhere where you haven't been before, you'll learn the most. At times I was really tired, really stressed out, felt annoyed but now when looking back, those were the moments from which I learned the most. So cheers for the whole experience!
ScaLDS was of course not only about work but also lot of fun! I also had some really good conversations with some people. I am grateful for those.
Now I will try to recover from the conference as tomorrow the work will already continue with a company meeting and other things.
Hugs to all,
Jouni
